TV Presenter, Ruth Langsford, has become a Patron for Home-Start Elmbridge.
Ruth is pictured here with Kathy Clark (Chair of Trustees), Carol Hodges (Scheme Director), Nicky Mangold (Trustee) and Debbie Groves (Charity Support Officer).
As part of Ruth’s patronage, she joined a recent Volunteer Christmas Gathering and Christmas Present Collection. Whilst there she was able to understand more about the vital work of the team in Elmbridge and how people can become volunteers.
Ruth Langsford said: “I was introduced to Home-Start Elmbridge by a dear friend and I’m honoured to have been asked to become a Patron of my local branch. Home-Start is one of the UK’s leading support charities.
“The amazing volunteers offer practical and emotional support to families in their own homes. It was humbling meeting the incredible volunteers and hearing about the support they offer families and how rewarding they find it. I also talked to people who receive that support and heard how invaluable it is to them and their children.
